The majority of the Jamla Records squad makes an appearance in this brand new video for Rap Diddy’s banger off of her upcoming album. The Idea of Beautiful drops August 28 and will be produced by 9th Wonder and The Soul Council (Khrysis, AMP, Eric G, Ka$h).
“’95 spirit in the days it was written.” That line right there is a good representation of the artist who’s mantra is “Culture Over Everything.” This new banger is the brand new single off of Rapsody’s The Idea of Beautiful album, set to come August 28. Now she’s had several mixtapes, an EP, and albums as part of the group Kooley High, but this will be Rap Diddy’s first solo album. And with samples like the first single “Believe Me” and this Ab-Soul and Raheem DeVaughn-assisted cut, Jamla Records’ first lady is not playing around with this. Rapsody is an openly adamant Lakers and Kobe Bryant fan, so her upcoming mixtape, which is dropping friday, is aptly titled Black Mamba. Here’s the first offering from it, produced by 9th Wonder.
