SkyBlew Interview: WCOM 103.5 FM “The Anchor Show” + “The Last Sleepover” Snippet

Late last night SkyBlew was a guest on Virtu’s “The Anchor Show” on WCOM 103.5 FM in Carrboro/ Chapel Hill, NC and I had the chance to chill there with him. He chopped it up about the origin of his name and his upcoming The Extended Walk Home project, and even previewed some tracks from the project.

“The Anchor Show” airs every Saturday night/ Sunday morning 1-3 a.m. at 103.5 FM in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, or www.wcomfm.org.

One Shot: Brian Kortovich Wants An NBA Team To Take A Chance

NBA hopeful Brian Kortovich just wants an NBA team to take a real chance on him. Since graduating from Urbana University in 2006, after being injured during his short stint at Manhattan College, he’s been on a journey to make a NBA team any way possible.

A 6’0″ guard, the Ohio native spent 2009 and 2010 in pre-season workouts with the Nets and Knicks, but is still yet to make an NBA roster for the regular season or summer league play.

Jamla’s go-to director Kenneth Price recently put together a documentary about producer 9th Wonder in which Price followed 9th with a camera everyday for a year.

Last night there was an exclusive screening of the film at Red Bull Space in NYC, and there The Source sat down with the film’s subject and director to talk about the spawning of the documentary.

The movie will open to the public on July 28 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. You can purchase tickets here
